Howlin' - Amber Skye
Mastering Project
This project demonstrates my ability to master a finished mix by applying tonal balancing, dynamic control, stereo enhancement, and loudness optimization. I worked with a pre‑mixed track provided for class and focused on achieving clarity, cohesion, and competitive loudness while preserving the musical intent of the original production. This piece highlights my understanding of mastering workflows, metering, and final‑stage audio polish.
Forces of Nature:
A Game Audio Suite
This project showcases my Foley recording, sound design, and implementation‑minded thinking through a re‑design of elemental spell effects for a video game clip. I created all sounds from scratch using a combination of recorded Foley, synthesized layers, and detailed editing techniques. Each spell, fire, ice, water, air, and earth, was built to convey weight, texture, and gameplay clarity while maintaining a cohesive sonic identity. I handled every stage of the process, including field/foley recording, sample editing, layering, dynamic processing, and spatial design. The goal was to create responsive, readable spell effects that feel powerful and immersive while supporting the visual timing and emotional tone of the scene.


Human Hands, Digital Movement
This track is built around the idea of sound that breathes. Using automation in Pro Tools and Logic, I shaped every movement—volume, filters, reverbs, panning—to feel alive and reactive. Instead of treating automation as a technical step, I approached it as performance: guiding the listener’s attention, creating tension and release, and letting the mix evolve like a living organism. The result is a piece that demonstrates not just my technical fluency, but my ability to use automation as a storytelling tool.

A Demo Reel
This demo reel showcases my work across Foley, post‑production editing, cinematic sound design, and interactive audio implementation. Each sequence was rebuilt from the ground up, combining detailed physical recordings with creative processing and system‑driven behaviors to support both linear storytelling and non‑linear gameplay logic.


Sci-fi Bunker:
Full Scene Re-Design
This project is a complete audio re‑design of a sci‑fi bunker sequence, created by removing the original soundtrack and rebuilding every sonic element from the ground up. I designed all ambience, Foley, mechanical systems, and environmental effects to support the tension and atmosphere of a confined, high‑tech underground space. The soundscape blends synthetic textures with grounded Foley to create a believable yet futuristic environment. I crafted mechanical hums, ventilation drones, metallic impacts, UI beeps, and environmental cues to match the visual pacing and narrative tone of the scene. This project demonstrates my ability to design immersive sci‑fi environments, maintain clarity across dense layers, and shape a cohesive sonic world that enhances the storytelling.

This short instrumental composition highlights my ability to craft mood, emotion, and musical structure through sound alone. I focused on creating a cohesive atmosphere using layered textures, dynamic movement, and intentional harmonic choices. The piece demonstrates my understanding of arrangement, tone shaping, and mixing, as well as my ability to build emotional arcs without relying on vocals or visuals.
